Actuellement, Mélody est en stage post-doctoral à l’ISAE SUPAERO (Université de Toulouse, Toulouse, France) sous la direction de Raphaëlle Roy (ISAE SUPAERO, DCAS) et Olga Battaïa (Kedge Business School). Elle s’intéresse à la caractérisation de l’état mental des décideurs (stress, fatigue, charge cognitive) en présence d’incertitude et particulièrement dans la gestion des chaînes de production. Ce post-doc est financé par l’ANR « Perf4mance ». Plus généralement, son intérêt de recherche porte sur l’influence des émotions sur la prise de décision, l’incertitude, et les biais décisionnels. Mélody est titulaire d’un doctorat en sciences cognitives, psychologie et neurocognition dont le financement provenait de l'Univ. Savoie Mont Blanc (Bourse "Président", Ministère de l'Enseignement Supérieur et de la Recheche). Elle est également titulaire d'un Master de recherche en psychologie cognitive et sociale (Univ. Grenoble Alpes, Grenoble, France) et d'une Licence en psychologie (Univ. Savoie Mont Blanc, Chambéry, France). Mélody is doing a postdoctoral fellow at ISAE SUPAERO (Université de Toulouse, Toulouse, France) under the supervision of Raphaëlle ROY (ISAE SUPAERO, DCAS) and Olga BATTAIA (Kedge Business School) with particular interest characterizing the mental state of decision-makers (stress, fatigue, cognitive load) in the presence of uncertainty in supply chain management. The post-doctoral fellow is funded by the (French) National Agency for Research “Perf4mance”. Mélody has a particular interest in the influence of emotions on decision-making, uncertainty, heuristics and bias. She holds a Ph. D in cognitive science, (social) psychology and neurocognition from the Univ. Savoie Mont Blanc done with a scholarship of the French Higher Education and Research Ministry for full salary during the Ph. D. . Before her Ph.D, she holds a master's degree in psychology (fields : research in cognitive and social psychology) from Univ. Grenoble Alpes (Grenoble, France) and a bachelor's degree in psychology from Univ. Savoie Mont Blanc (Chambéry, France). Financé par allocation doctorale (Univ. Savoie Mont Blanc, 2015-2018) Axe I. Emotions & prise de décision L’objectif de ce travail de recherche a été d’approfondir la compréhension des influences émotionnelles opérant dans la prise de décision. Ces travaux de recherches s’inscrivent dans l’approche théorique de l’Appraisal Tendency Framework (Han et al., 2007). Plus particulièrement, l’objectif de ces travaux a été d’analyser l’interaction entre l’influence incidente (i.e. non reliée à la décision) et intégrale (i.e. reliée à la décision). En effet, dans la littérature les recherches se sont principalement concentrées soit sur l’influence incidente soit sur l’influence intégrale des émotions. Dans cette perspective, il a été conduit 6 expériences et 2 méta-analyses de petites échelles. L’ensemble des résultats permet d’améliorer la conception théorique des influences émotionnelles dans la prise de décision et d’envisager des applications en prévention et en clinique. Axe II. Evaluation cognitive de certitude-incertitude L’évaluation cognitive de certitude associée aux émotions incidente détermine le type de traitement de l’information principalement déclenché (Tiedens & Linton, 2001). Malgré son rôle important, il a été observé dans l’Axe I et dans la littérature que la consistance interne de la mesure est, la plupart du temps, insatisfaisante. L’objectif de cet axe de recherche a donc été d’analyser, de comprendre et d’améliorer la consistance interne de la mesure de degré de certitude. Dans cette perspective, il a été conduit 3 séries d’entretiens semi-directifs et 4 études (i.e. comportementale et/ou physiologiques). Emotion, prise de décision & alimentation Cet axe de recherche vise à étendre les axes développés dans le cadre du travail doctoral (i.e. axe I et II) dans une perspective de prévention et clinique. Premièrement, l’axe 3.1 vise à appliquer les résultats du travail doctoral afin de réduire l’insatisfaction corporelle chez des patientes atteintes d’anorexie mentale et chez des étudiantes à l’Université. L’axe 3.2 vise à approfondir la compréhension des mécanismes sous-tendant les comportements alimentaires et leur modulation par l’influence émotionnelle (i.e. menace du stéréotype, inhibition, alimentation émotionnelle). Emotions & decision making The aim of this research axis is to go deeper in the understanding of the emotional influences upon decision making. These works take the theoretical approach of the Appraisal Tendency Framework (Han et al., 2007) and more recently the Emotion Imbued Choice (EIC; Lerner et al., 2015). More precisely, we analyze the interaction between incidental (i.e. not related to the decision) and integral (related to the decision) influences. In this perspective, 6 experiments and 2 small scale meta-analysis were conducted. Taken as a whole, result suggest that it is possible to extend the theoretical predictions of the EIC to sequential decision and to envisage applications in both prevention and clinic psychology (cf. axis 3). Axe II. Cognitive appraisal of (un)certainty Cognitive appraisal of certainty associated with incidental emotions modulate the leading information processing triggered (Tiedens & Linton, 2001). Literature review showed that the internal consistency of the measure is weak. Consequently, the aim of this research axis is to go deeper in the analyze, understanding and improvement of the measure of (un)certainty appraisal in a French population. In this perspective, 3 series of semi directed interview, a replication of Smith & Ellsworth (1985) and 2 studies (behavioral and physiological) were conducted. Emotion, decision making & alimentation This research axis aims to extend the doctoral work (i.e. axis 1 and 2) from a prevention and clinical perspective. Current collaborations can be organized in two sub-axes. First, axis 3.1 aims to apply the Appraisal Tendency Framework to reduce body dissatisfaction in patients with Anorexia Nervosa and female university students.
